PURPOSE:To obtain a hot melt sizing agent having general properties of a fiber sizing agent, e.g. adhesion to fiber, prevention of fluffing or end breakage and weaving properties, free from reduction of cohesiveness, improved in adhesion between fibers, reduced in melt viscosity and excellent in workability. CONSTITUTION:This hot melt sizing agent contains (A) a polyvinyl acetate-based resin having hydrophilic groups, (B) a >=6C hydroxy fatty acid or its derivative and (C) a plasticizer. The >=6C hydroxy fatty acid or its derivative (B) and the plasticizer (C) are used respectively in an amount of 5 to 30 pts.wt. and 1 to 20 pts.wt. based on 100 pts.wt. polyvinyl acetate-based resin (A) having hydrophilic groups. |
