<p>A polyester composition comprising 99.8 - 60 wt.% of a polyester (A) having a terminal carboxyl concentration of 10 equiv./106g or less and 0.2 - 40 wt.% of a fluorine-free thermoplastic polymer (B) and containing 0.005 - 1.5 wt.% of an unreacted carbodiimide compound (C); a polyester monofilament produced from the composition; and industrial textile and papermaking dryer canvas both produced from the monofilament, and a rubber molding reinforced with the monofilament. The composition is produced by melt kneading a fluorine-free thermoplastic polymer and a carbodiimde compound, adding a polyester during or after the melt kneading, and kneading the resultant mixture. The monofilament is produced by spinning the composition followed by stretching and heat setting.</p> |
