TRIM ACCUMULATOR

Problems in collecting the trim resulting from the trimming of the control punch margins (84) of continuous business forms (80) in a business form processing apparatus such as a burster (20), (28), (30), are minimized with a trim collector/compactor including a tub (60) mounted for rotation about a vertical axis (58) and having an upper open end (62) located below chutes (36) adapted to receive trimmed control punch margins (84) from a trimming units (20). The tub (60) is rotated by a motor (70) and the resulting centrifugal force acts to initially compact trim received within the tub (60).
