<p>PURPOSE: To impart tensile stress resistance to roller sleeves for a paper machine. CONSTITUTION: The covers which are sleeves 6 or belts each have both a cover body placed on a roller rotatable in a defined direction and a plurality of reinforcing fibers 7 placed in the cover body. The fibers are oriented at a 45 deg. to the rotating direction of the roller. The direction coincides with the direction of tensile stresses that exist within the cover body.</p> |
