PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric power converter with high power factor correction effect by adjusting control mode switchover timing while considering a detection delay due to a filter in an input voltage detection section.SOLUTION: A power supply control section 2 has at least two or more control modes a boost control, a step-down control and a boost and step-down control as modes for controlling a boost and step-down converter 5 in a power source main circuit 1. The power supply control section 2 determines the switchover timing between the two control modes by comparing an input voltage detection value detected by an input voltage detection section 7 and a value of a control switchover command voltage as a voltage command for switching over the control mode which is corrected based on a detection delay of the input voltage detection value detected through a filter. |
