<p>PURPOSE: To make it possible to easily set a corn shape by lap winding by providing means for cutting a sheet material to any arbitrary width and also to easily produce a premold insulator by making it by lap winding a sheet material around a core member having a diameter corresponding to the outer diameter of a cable to be connected. CONSTITUTION: In producing a corn-shaped premold insulator 1, means for laminating and winding a sheet material 10 drawn out from a sheet roll 12 is constituted for a core member 5 provided on a shaft 6. In the middle of a passage guiding the sheet material 10 from the roll 12 to the core member 5, a pair of cutting blades 19 and 19a are arranged, width of the sheet material 10 is set in response to the shape of the premold insulator 1, and the corn shape of the premold insulator 1 is automatically formed only by sequentially laminating the sheet material 10 around the core member 5.</p> |
