<p>PURPOSE: To provide a developer which has a sufficient satisfactory, which does not scatter toner during copying, which has a sufficient degree of transfer efficiency, and with which a copied image having a required density can be stably obtained for a long time. CONSTITUTION: A binary system developer contains carrier and toner containing toner particles which contain in turn fixing resin and magnetic powder dispersed in the resin, the fixing resin being a composition containing at least either one of (1) a polymer having an anionic polar group and a part in which wax is grafted, and (2) a composition composed of a polymer having an anionic polar group, and having a part in which wax is grafted, and a polymer having a part in which wax is grafted, and the magnetic powder being contained in the toner particles at a predetermined ratio. Each of the carrier particles has a core particle and a cover layer with which the core particle is covered, the core particle being made of a predetermined magnetic material, and the cover layer being made of a resin composition containing thermoplastic resin, having a degree of hardness which is higher than 85%.</p> |
