<p>PURPOSE: To stop a motor while maintaining its fixed number of revolutions without respect to a speed of a roller when a pick-up roller constructed of a semicircular roller is driven by using a stepping motor in a paper feeding device arranged in a document tray of an automatic document conveying device. CONSTITUTION: When a semicircular roller arranged in a paper feeding device in an automatic document conveying device is driven by means of a stepping motor, a rotational frequency of the motor is read in a step a-3, if a stop signal is inputted (step a-2) in the middle of the rotation of the roller. On the basis of the frequency of the motor, a speed reducing profile matching with the frequency impressed on the motor is set according to a control program which is previously set in a controller like a step a-7, and then, a speed reducing drive to the motor is carried out, so that the motor is stopped while the number of revolutions of the motor until a stop is set constant.</p> |
