<p>PURPOSE: To rapidly recover powdered slag in a short time without dust formation by receiving the steel making slag in a slag pan, subjecting the received slag to a cooling treatment, and applying impact on the slag simultaneously with forcible cooling of the slag with gas and liquid, thereby accelerating the powdering of the slag and recovering the powdered slag with the falling energy by gravity. CONSTITUTION: A water treating device is provided with the slag pan 1 for primary cooling of the steel making slag, is provided with a mechanical device for accelerating crushing and applying the impact on the crushed slag and a cooler for the gas and liquid for forcible and rapid cooling of the slag. A device to recover the powdered slag with the falling energy by gravity is mounted at this treating device. Fig. shows the plane view of the apparatus. The slag is subjected to primary cooling by the pan 1 for cooling the slag and the pan is tilted to discharge the slag into a hopper 2, falling which, the slag is supplied by a feeder 3 into a powdering device 4 and is forcibly powdered. The powdered slag is fractionated and collected by a screen and is packed into flexible container bags, etc., for recycling. The slag failing to be powdered and base metal are subjected to a fractionating treatment in the form of ingot.</p> |
