<p>PURPOSE: To perform the on/off control of the power supply in the data processor provided with a system management mode(SMM) function without using the SMM mode. CONSTITUTION: Within the system management control part 2 provided on a data processor, a timer part 23 measuring the power supply time from a point of time when the power source of a power source control object device is turned on, a trap part 24 detecting that the power source object device is accessed from a main controller when the power source of the power source control object device is turned off and turning on the power source and an access control part 21 detecting the power source on signal from the trap part 24 and returning a system control ready(RDY) signal (2) to the main controller after prescribed time. Based on the control from a main control part, the on/off control of the power supply for the power source control object device is autonomously performed in the system management control part 2 and the RDY signal (2) is returned to the main control part.</p> |
