<p>PURPOSE: To suppress the increase of the resistance of a carrier and to suppress the lowering of image density by using a carrier and a toner each having specified resistivity and specifying the resistivity of the resultant developer. CONSTITUTION: This developer consists of a carrier and a toner and has 1.0×10<10> -3.0×10<2>Ω.cm resistivity. The carrier has a core material contg. magnetic powder and a resin coating layer on the surface of the core material and the resistivity of the carrier is >=5×10<10>Ω.cm, preferably >=1×10<11>Ω.cm. The resistivity of the toner is <=1.5×10<9>Ω.cm, preferably <=1.0×10<9>Ω.cm. The resin of the resin coating layer of the carrier is at least one kind of resin selected from a styrene polymer, an acrylic polymer, a fluororesin type polymer, polyester, melamine resin and epoxy resin.</p> |
