<p>PURPOSE: To obtain rolled products having high dimensional accuracy by sensi tively detecting tension of a rolled stock which is extended across stands. CONSTITUTION: In the state where a rolled stock 5 is bitten with only a front stand 3, the ratio G/P=λ0 of rolling load P which is detected with a load cell 20 to torque G which is calculated from the armature current of a motor 4 with a torque computing element 21 is calculated with a torque arm computing element 22 and stored in a memory 24 asλ0 with a switch 23. Next, during ordinary rolling state in which the rolled stock 5 is bitten with both of a rear stand 1 and the front stand 3, the method for controlling tention is executed so that the torque armλthat is calculated with the torque arm computing element 22 is kept atλ0 .</p> |
