Plant for heating crushed recycled asphalt granules

Crushed recycled asphalt granules are heated in one or several heating registers (13), each consisting of a vertical vessel (6) with adjacent heating pipes (4) positioned vertically inside. Pipes pass through the top (11) and bottom (12) of the vessel, forming several heating chambers, according to the number of heating pipes, for the granules to pass through and heat up. Granules are fed in through a hopper (3) at the top and discharged pref. via a conveyor unit (10). Heat transfer medium is passed through the pipes in counterflow to the passage of granules.
