<p>PURPOSE: To suppress the generation of a shock even when an accelerator pedal is operated with higher force simultaneously with operation of a shift operation device from a non-running range to a running range, in a vehicle having an engine operated at each cylinder group. CONSTITUTION: When it is detected by a shift operation detecting means 134 that a shift lever is operated from a non-running range to a running range, variation of the number of working cylinders of cylinder groups C1 and C2 is prohibited by a cylinder group variation prohibiting means 140 until completion of engagement of clutches C1 and C2 is detected by an engagement state detecting means 138. Thereby, since the change in an engine rotation speed due to the shift of an automatic transmission 14 is prevented from occurrence during variation of the number of cylinders of the cylinder group C1 and C2 , a shock is prevented from generation.</p> |
