<p>PURPOSE: To obtain an image forming method capable of reducing the soiling of a developer carrier. CONSTITUTION: In the image forming method having a process for forming a layer of magnetic toner 13 on the developer carrier 5 arranged with a gap from an electrostatic latent image carrier 1 and developing an electrostatic latent image on the electrostatic latent image carrier 1 with the magnetic toner 13, while impressing an alternating current to the developer carrier 5, it is provided with at least a substrate and a covering layer and the surface of the substrate is covered with the covering layer. Then, the covering layer consists of a coating agent incorporating a solid lubricant or a conductive agent or a mixture of the solid lubricant and the conductive agent, globular grains having 0.3-30μnumber average grain size and binding resin and the magnetic toner 13 is made of a composition incorporating at least a polymer component, a magnetic material and an electrification control agent, that is, vinyl resin which has >=1mgKOH/g acid value in composition polymer component.</p> |
