<p>PURPOSE: To obtain a hot-melt ink capable of giving stable and good print quality as an ink for color ink jet printers. CONSTITUTION: First, 5 pts.wt. of NEOPEN BLUE 808 (manufactured by BASF) is dissolved in 200 pts.wt. of methanol and the resultant solution is subjected to suction filtration through a 0.8μm PTFE membrane filter (manufactured by Advantec Toyo Co. Ltd.). Secondly, the filtrate is heated to 100 deg.C on a hot plate to evaporate the methanol to obtain 3 pts.wt. of a treated coloring material. AMIDE S (manufactured by Kao Corporation) is melted at 130 deg.C and then incorporated with the above coloring material which is then melted under agitation, thus obtaining the objective hot-melt ink as a colored mixture.</p> |
