The side protection is pivotably supported in consoles (2) fixed to the vehicle, e.g. in its frame or under its load platform. The side protection, by the consoles, can be pivoted upwards from its usage position or vertical orientation along the vehicle longitudinal sides to a horizontal orientation. In this position, the side protection is movable inwards in the consoles for a short, predetermined distance in order to fix its position. The side protection is easily removed from the consoles after pivoting upwards from its usage position, in which rotary axes (3), which the side protection has for rotating it in the consoles, are releasable from hooking and support components (4) in the consoles. |
