PURPOSE: To improve workability and reliability at the time of charging braking liquid by providing a check valve to transmit vacuum applied to a braking liquid passage part which is normally connected to a pressure chamber of a master cylinder to a braking liquid passage part which is normally connected to a low back pressure reservoir. CONSTITUTION: For charging braking liquid into a liquid pressure brake unit after assembling the liquid pressure brake unit in a vehicle assembling process, vacuum is supplied from a master cylinder reservoir, and this vacuum is transmitted thorugh a normally opened electromagnetic shut-off valve to each wheel brake to discharge air in the passage. At this time, the vacuum is supplied through a damper chamber or the like to be transmitted through a slit 124 for transmission of vacuum in a suction valve 120 of a plunger type pump to a pump chamber 112 to discharge air in the pump chamber 112, while air in a low back pressure reservoir 123 is discharged through the check valve, and braking liquid is then fed from the master cylinder reservoir to the brake unit under pressure to be charged. |
