LIQUID CRYSTALLINE OPTICAL FILM

摘要

PURPOSE: To provide a novel liquid crystalline optical film formed by uniformly hybrid-orienting and fixing a discotic liquid crystal over a large surface area. CONSTITUTION: The liquid crystalline optical film is composed of a discotic liquid crystalline material, is formed by fixing the orientation form of the discotic liquid crystal, is a monolayer film formed out of the discotic liquid crystal material and the orientation form of the discotic liquid crystal shows hybrid orientation different in a angle between the director of the discotic liquid crystal in the vicinity of the interface of upper surface of the film and the film plane from an angle between the director of the discotic liquid crystal in the vicinity of the interface of lower surface and the film plane.
