The said invention relates to a process for preparing azeotropous hydrobromic acid and 67% concentrate using sodium bromide and concentrated sulphuric acid, introduced as reflux, resulting the hydrobromic acid which is then sparged into azeotropous hydrobromic acid, until the desired concentration is obtained. The said obtained hydrobromic acid is used in the organic synthesis industry.
