<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prohibit the operation of a motor-driven stapler and prevent the occurrence of a stapling error by providing a unit connection output means for detecting whether the motor-driven stapler is mounted within a device for the use thereof in such a state as built into the device or the like. SOLUTION: A post-treatment device attached to an image forming device has a stapler unit, and the connector of a wire harness is coupled to an input and output terminal for operating the stapler unit. Also, the stapler unit is internally provided with a unit connection output means 92 as a unit detection part, and the wire harness connector is also coupled to the means 92. According to this construction, the unit detection signal of the stapler unit is sent to a main control panel via the wire harness and when the stapler unit is demounted, the unit detection signal is not sent to the main control panel. Thus, a signal is outputted to the effect that a subsequent stapling process cannot be performed.</p> |
