<p>A hypertensive transgenic rat having a DNA coding for the human renin bound to a promoter capable of highly expressing a DNA coding for human renins in rats and another DNA coding for the human angiotensinogen bound to a promoter capable of highly expressing a DNA coding for human angiotensinogens in rats; a process for producing the rats; and a method of screening hypertension preventives and remedies by using the rats. These rats can serve as model animals for hypertension and accompanying diseases, thus being useful as means for research and development of preventives and remedies therefor.</p> |
