<p>A reclosable fastener has a male/female closure (12, 14) between a pair of base members (10a, 10b). The base members have zones (18) of different material recessed into the base members to provide a utilisable surface where the materials are flush with one another. The two materials are co-extruded. The inset material (18) can be a weld-enhancing material, a weld-retarding material or a weld-prevention material. The inset zones (18) can also be provided on flangeless zippers.</p> |
