<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrict sticking of foreign matter falling on an image carrier and to form an image of satisfactory image quality by providing a cleaning blade whose edge is pressed to the image carrier at a specific pressing angle and with a specific pressing force. SOLUTION: Toner remaining on the photoreceptor drum 11 without being transferred to a recording material is removed by a cleaner 61 so as not to exert adverse effect on the subsequent image-forming process. In the removal of the toner, the cleaning blade 611 scrapes the residual toner with its edge pressed to the surface of the photoreceptor drum 11 at the specific pressing angle and with the specific pressing force. In this case, sticking of foreign matter to the photoreceptor drum 11 can be restricted by stetting the average particle diameter of a toner postprocessing material 5-50nm and the impact resilience of the cleaning blade 611 to 10% or more and 65% or less.</p> |
