PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce total cost by forming an illuminator housing by a thermoplastic resin component containing titanium oxide and using the housing also as a reflector for reflecting light projected from a light source arranged in an illuminator to a specific direction. SOLUTION: Polycarbonate resin is used as thermoplastic resin, the polycarbonate resin and titanium oxide are blended to obtain a pellet, which is injection-molded to obtain a housing 1. The shape of the housing 1 observed on a plane has a rectangular plate-like bottom part 2 and sidewalls 3a to 3d formed on four sides and consists of a box body forming a side to be a light extracting face at the time of using it as a releasing face. The bottom part 2 becomes a rear part at the time of using it and three sidewalls 3a to 3c are vertically erected from the edge parts of the bottom part 2. The sidewall 3d is functioned as a lamp reflector. Since a light source 5 is held by the lamp holder 4 and a photoconductive plate 6 is stuck and laminated to the surface of the bottom part 2, the illuminator using the housing 1 reflects light projected from the light source 5 and guides the reflected light to a display part 7 on the releasing face side. |
