PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely cancel scrambling of main information of a broadcasting receiving signal even when this broadcasting receiving signal is received and viewed immediately after recording and viewing a broadcasting recording signal. SOLUTION: A key is extracted from a received broadcasting signal and is held in a received key holding means 46, and at the time of recording the broadcasting signal, this key is multiplexed with the broadcasting receiving signal, and they are recorded on a recording medium. At the time of reproducing and viewing the recorded broadcasting signal, the key is extracted from the reproducing signal and is held in reproduced key holding means 47, and the reproducing signal is descrambled by using this key. Then, a viewer propriety judging means 50 is provided for the purpose of judging whether a receiving contract of the charged scrambled broadcasting is presently available or not upon occurrence of a reproducing and viewing request and prohibiting descrambling if unavailable. |
