PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thin-film magnetic head with which the arrangement of a slider substrate and a suspension in parallel with high accuracy is possible and the improvement in the floating characteristic and magnetic recording and reproducing characteristic of the magnetic head is possible. SOLUTION: Spacers 32 are arranged between the joint surface of the slider substrate 12 provided with a thin-film magnetic head element and the joint surface of the suspension 30. The parallelism between the slider substrate 12 and the suspension 30 is obtd. by the spacers 32. An adhesive is applied on the region enclosed by the spacers 32 to the thickness larger than the thickness of the spacers. This adhesive is solidified within the region enclosed by the spacers 32. The slider substrate 12 and the suspension 30 are then fixed to each other while the parallelism is maintained by the spacers 32. |
