<p>A mobile station (8) for a mobile communication system, which stores groups of directory numbers in a memory (38). A short message signal is composed by the user of the mobile station (64), and one of the groups of directory numbers is selected by the user (80). The mobile station in response sends the short message to each of the directory numbers appearing in the selected group (84, 88). Each of the groups is provided with an identifier which is programmable by a user of the mobile station.</p> |
