<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a command input device which can be easily operated even by an unskilled user with decreased wrong input operations and also to provide a portable information input device which contains the command input device for saving its space and has the high utility value. SOLUTION: A command input device 25 contained in a portable information input device 20 detects the push-in position of an input switch 1 via a volume. Then the device 25 performs the A/D conversion of its position detection signal and sends this converted signal to a CPU. The CPU refers to the memory contents of a ROM recording the correspondence between the position detection signal and a command and selects the command corresponding to the position detection signal. Then the command to be inputted to a terminal unit is decided by pushing a decision switch 16.</p> |
