<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an abnormality detection control device integrally formed with a trouble detection mechanism and assist inhibition mechanism by directly comparing steering torque and assist torque as a mechanical displacement amount. SOLUTION: A motor-driven power steering system comprises a first detection means 20 detecting steering torque, second detection means 30 detecting additional torque of an assist motor 10, first electrode 42 displaced in accordance with a detection signal of the first detection means 20, and a second electrode 43 placed in a current carrying condition at normal time relating to this first electrode 42 to be displaced in accordance with a detection signal of the second detection means 30. A comparator means 40 is provided, which makes additional torque to zero by relatively displacing the first/second electrode 42, 43 switched to a current interruption condition when ratio of the steering torque to the additional torque exceeds a prescribed range.</p> |
