PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce screen reflection by external light by a simple structure. SOLUTION: A quarter-wave plate 13 is arranged between a 1st linearly polarizing light plate 12d on a front side of a liquid crystal display board 12 and a 1st transparent electrode board 12a also on a front side, and external light C1 as the sun light is made into linearly polarized light C2 through the 1st linear polarizing plate 12d, and is further made into circularly polarized light through a quarter-wave plate 13 to be reflected back, and is emitted again onto the linearly polarizing plate 12d. The light C3 at this time is cross-polarized light orthogonal to a polarizing direction of the 1st linearly polarizing plate 12d, and is therefore cut off by the 1st linearly polarizing light. Thus, Only light C4 of an image formed by the liquid crystal display board 12 can be transmitted to the 1st plane polarizing light plate 12d. |
