<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To extend a function of an existing computer without removing the existing computer in such a case by adding new computer system facilities which have the new function, etc., and an existing and new computer connecting device which connects the existing computer and new computer system facilities and transfers data between the both. SOLUTION: To an existing sensor 1, a process input device 2, and the existing computer 10, the existing and new computer connecting device 20 and the new computer system facilities 30 are added. The existing and new computer connecting device 20 connects the existing computer 10 and new computer system facilities 30 and transfers data, so RS-232C, etc., is used as a general interface so as to handle the signal of the existing computer 10 by the new computer system facilities 30 and industrial values of an MKSA unit system are converted to an SI unit system as arithmetic processing. The new computer system facilities 30 processes data inputted through the existing and new computer connecting device 20 and provides new functions and performance for an operator.</p> |
