PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an emergency luminaire that facilitates the replacement of a storage battery simply by drawing out its battery receiving table so as to allow the storage battery to be taken out from the outside of the luminaire body without dismounting components of the luminaire such as a lamp installed in more front side of the luminaire body than the storage battery in replacing the storage battery located on the inside of the bottom of the luminaire body since a battery receiving opening is formed in a manner capable of being opened and closed. SOLUTION: This emergency luminaire comprises a luminaire body 1 having a circumferential side wall 1a and being opened at its front side, a lamp installed at the opened side of the luminaire body 1 and lighted by means of power feeding from the commercial power source, and a storage battery 2 located at the back side of this lamp 3b and feeding power to the lamp 3 in a power failure. In this case, a battery receiving opening 1b is formed on the circumferential side wall 1a of the luminaire body 1; on this battery receiving opening 1b, connecting terminals 12k are installed so as to hold the storage battery 2 and to feed power to the lamp 3; a battery receiving table having a size to mostly cover the battery receiving opening 1b is placed in a manner slidable in a direction nearly perpendicular to the battery receiving opening 1b so that the battery receiving opening 1b is capable of being opened and closed. |
