FIELD: organic chemistry and technology. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to industrial method of production of furfurol and acetic acid from pentosan-containing raw, for example, leafy wood. Method involves treatment of raw by overheated steam under pressure 0.7-1.4 MPa and at 200-250 C in the presence of catalyst. The latter is a salt solution or salts mixture forming cations at dissociation, their charge is two, not less, saturation degree is 20-90% at amount up to 15% of dry mass raw. Furfurol and acetic acid are isolated by rectification method or by other known methods. Raw residue after its treatment with steam is unloaded from reactor by decompression method and, if necessary, dehydrated partially by pressing and/or drying and used as a fuel for technological steam producing and/or for other aims. EFFECT: decreased consumption of catalyst, simultaneous furfurul and acetic acid producing. 11 cl, 3 exd
