PURPOSE:To obtain a crosslinked rubber suitable as an outsole material having excellent crosslinkability of rubber, transparency, abrasion resistance, mechanical strength and flexural resistance by adding a silica filler to a rubber component such as polybutadiene and crosslinking the composition with a peroxide. CONSTITUTION:The objective rubber has a turbidity of <=40% measored in the form of a sheet of 2mm thick according to ASTM D-1003-61 and is produced by the peroxide-crosslinking of a composition composed of (I) 100 pts.wt. of a rubber component selected from (A) a rubber component composed of 10-90wt.% of 1,4-polybutadiene and 90-10wt.% of a solution-polymerized styrene- butadiene rubber, (B) a rubber component composed of 10-90wt.% of 1,4- polybutadiene and 90-10wt.% of 1,2-polybutadiene having a vinyl bond content of >=70wt.% and a crystallinity of >=5% and (C) a rubber component composed of 10-90wt.% of a solution-polymerized styrene-butadiene rubber and 90-10wt.% of 1,2-polybutadiene having a vinyl bond content of >=70wt.% and a crystallinity of >=5% and (II) 5-80 pts.wt. of a silica filler. |
