DATA INPUT DEVICE AND ITS METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To remarkably improve operability when data are inputted by using so called a software keyboard. SOLUTION: A computer displays a target window to input the software keyboard and the data on a display (S100), discriminates either of two keys of a mouse is clicked (S102, S104), selects the data indicated by a pointed key when a left key is clicked and displays the selected data by making it correspond to a cursor (S106 to S110). The data are selected and displayed in a frame in the vicinity of the cursor by repeating these processings. When the target window is clicked by a user, the data of a character string selected until then are supplied to the target program as inputted data by the computer (S112).
