PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a photographer to concentrate its attention onto an object by providing an operation means to control start of an image and stop of recorded image in the vicinity of a manual focus ring for adjusting a focal distance placed on a lens mirror barrel so as to allow the photographer to control the start of video recording and the stop of recorded image without leaving a hand from the manual focus ring on the lens mirror barrel. SOLUTION: A means 5 that controls start of video recording and stop of video recording is provided on an image pickup lens mirror barrel 2 provided with a means 39 that manually adjusts a focal distance in the vicinity of the means 39 that manually adjusts a focal distance. In the case that a photographer places a video camera main body 1 on a fixing means 7 such as a tripod via a universal head 6 to conduct photographing, the photographer operates a manual focus ring 39 on the lens mirror barrel 2 by one hand and confirms an object image by peeping a view finder 4 while adjusting a tripod direction adjustment rod 22 by the other hand. Then the photographer operates the video recording start/stop means 5 to controls the video recording start/stop. |
