<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a grip with water absorbing characteristics and surface configuration matching to the contour of the hand of a player, capable of eliminating the need of a special glove. SOLUTION: A water absorbing grip for a golf club or a sports racket handle is formed with a slender leather strip 10 in a profile of special lateral cross section. The slender strip 10 is provided with an upheaval portion 20, a water absorption face with the maximum point, separated with circularly curved grooves or valley when it is spirally wound on the gold club or the racket handle in the condition that the leather strip is exposed at its coarse and scuffing side 14, the circularly curved grooves or the valley being spirally directed along the longitudinal direction of the club or the racket handle.</p> |
