<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a system for enhancing considerably stiffness against a noise for a narrow band around a pilot carrier frequency and to provide its synchronizing unit. SOLUTION: In the many-carrier transmission system, a receiver side calculates a clock timing error (τe ) and it is used for synchronization between a transmitter side modem and a receiver side modem (RX1). A share (Ai ) of a phase error (ϕi ) detected as to a specific pilot carrier in the clock timing error (τe ) depends on the transmission quality (SNRi ) of the pilot carrier on the transmission medium between the two modems in this method, and then the clock timing error (τe ) is calculated from phase errors (ϕ0 ,ϕ1 ,...ϕi ,...ϕN-1 ) detected from a plurality of pilot carriers in the tracking mode. Thus, the stiffness of synchronization against a noise for a narrow band around a pilot carrier frequency is considerably enhanced.</p> |
