<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrostatic charge image developer and an image forming method using this developer by which stable images with extremely little changes in the hue and tone with time can be obtd. SOLUTION: This electrostatic developer consists of a carrier and a toner comprising a coloring agent and a binder resin, and the developer is prepared in such a manner that the gradient of the absolute charge amt. to the toner concentration is <=2.0μC/g wt.% in 4 to 12 wt.% toner density range, and that the gradient of the logarithm of resistance of the developer to the toner density is <=0.3<-1> (wt.%) in 4 to 12 wt.% toner density range. The image forming method includes a process to form a latent image on a latent image carrying body and a process to develop the latent image with a developer on a developer carrier. In this method, the electrostatic charge image developer is used as a developer.</p> |
