Claw flange fitting joining two flat furniture panels

A two-piece fitting links two components e.g. plastics-coated chipboard e.g. as used in furniture construction. The fitting consists firstly of a baseplate screwed into one panel and having a raised block (21) of T-shaped cross-section. The second part of the fitting is a U-shaped (7) flange, the extremities of which bear sawtooth claws (12). The U-shaped flange slides under the T-shaped crossbar (17), the claws locating and locking on the rear face of the block.
