PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To take a photograph by using an external stroboscope device, even if a consecutive photographing mode is set. SOLUTION: This stroboscope system for a camera which is provided with an incorporated stroboscope device and capable of attaching the external stroboscope device 2 is provided with a photographing mode setting means 10 for selectively switching the consecutive photographing mode for consecutively photographing plural frames in response to a single release signal and a normal photographing mode for executing normal one-frame photographing, an attachment detecting means for detecting the fact that the external stroboscope device 2 is attached to a camera main body and a stroboscope control means for controlling the incorporated and external stroboscope devices and executes control so that when the consecutive photographing mode is set by the photographing mode setting means, the light emitting operation of the incorporated stroboscope device is inhibited and when the consecutive photographing mode is set and the attachment detecting means detects the attachment of the external stroboscope device, its light emitting operation is permitted. |
