PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to surely and friendly execute fixation and support with adequate elasticity while dealing with the physical shapes of individual persons in the fixation of the posture during or after the surgery in orthopedical and surgical fields and holding, etc., of the sitting position in a welfare field. SOLUTION: A required amt. of granular materials 1 having elasiticity and a hydraulic resin 2 having elasticity even after curing are mixed. This hydraulic resin is used in the amt. sufficient for connecting the granular materials 1 described above after curing. The mixture described above is formed to allow the movement of the granular materials relative to each other in such a manner that the mixture can comply with the shape of the patient's application section before the curing. The mixture composed of the granular materials and the hydraulic resin 2 is recommended to be inclosed into a bag 3 formed of a water permeable material non-reactive with the hydraulic resin 2 before the curing. When the bag 3 of this posture holder material 4 is soaked as it is into water and this bag 3 is placed on the patient's application section after the removal of the excess water, the holder material eventually complies with the shape of this section, thus allowing templating. The hydraulic resin cures in this state. The posture holder having the adequate elasticity meeting the physical shapes of the individual persons is thus obtd.
