<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance controllability and ball-hitting feeling without impairing a good hitting distance being the characteristic of a solid golf ball. SOLUTION: In this three-piece golf ball consisting of a core part 1 of a diameter of 27 to 37 mm, a core 4 consisting of an intermediate layer 2 for covering the core part 1, and a cover 3 for covering the core 4, the specific gravity (a) of the core part 1 is smaller than the specific gravity (b) of the intermediate layer 2, the JIS-C hardness (Y) of the surface of the core part 1 is higher at least 8 than the JIS-C hardness (X) of the center of the core part 1, the JIS-C hardness (Z) of the surface of the core 4 is more than 80, the difference (p-q) between the deformation amount (p) when the core part 1 is applied from the initial load 10 kgf to the final load 130 kgf and the deformation amount (q) when the core 4 is applied from the initial load 10 kgf to the final load 130 kgf is more than 0.5, and the shore hardness D of the cover 3 is less than 60.</p> |
