PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low power consumption, high display luminance uniformity, high contrast and high view angle active matrix liquid crystal display device. SOLUTION: In the active matrix liquid crystal display device of a common wiringless (commonless) IPS (lateral electric field) system, a counter electrode 107 is arranged upward signal wiring 103 and a TFT(thin film transistor) through an insulation layer, and by covering/light shielding the signal wiring or the TFT with the counter electrode and scan wiring 101, a BM(black matrix) is eliminated or miniaturized, and a substrate is flattened, and uniformity of a numerical aperture and a cell gap are improved. |
