COLOR FILTER AND ITS PRODUCTION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color filter which lessens the oozing of color pattern boundary portion after a high temperature treatment and a method for producing the same, and to provide a color filter which is a color filter manufactured by a high temperature treatment and has excellent light resistance, and a process for producing the same. SOLUTION: The color filter having the color pattern formed by subjecting a silver halide photosensitive material provided with at least three kinds of photosensitive layers varying in absorption wavelength regions from each other on a light transparent substrate to color development processing is a color filter characterized in that the average transmission density of the main absorption of the color pattern is <=0.8 and the ratio of the area occupied by the color pixel included in the color pattern to the total area of the color pattern is >=80%. The method for producing the color filter described above is a method for producing the color filter characterized in that the color development processing is executed by using a color developing solution containing >=2 mmol/ l bromide ions in the color developing solution and containing at least one kind of aromatic primary amine developing agents.
