PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable an electronic settlement system which settles the accounts of purchased commodities between purchasers and shops through a communication network to make electronic settlement processing of many settlement types by not making a device for purchaser to be loaded with all electronic settlement processing programs of the settlement types nor completely down load the electronic settlement processing program of a used settlement type, but hold or down load the necessary minimum portion of the electronic settlement processing program of the used settlement type. SOLUTION: Of the electronic settlement processing programs used between a device 1100 for purchaser and a device 1500 for shop, only an auxiliary electronic settlement processing program 1130 which is limited to the processing range essential to the device 110 is made to be held by the device 1100 and the remaining processing program (main electronic settlement processing program 1310) is made to be held by a main electronic settlement processor 1300 which functions between the devices 1100 and 1500 so that the devices 1100 and 1500 may process electronic settlement by calling the program 1310 from the processor 1300 when needed. |
