<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pointing device which is thin and also is sensuously easy for a human to handle even though it is difficult to make compatible thinness and sensuous sense of use in a track ball and a pressure sensitive and capacitance type flat pad. SOLUTION: This flat pad consists of a pad 1 that is back and forth and right and left movable, post springs 2 and 3 returning the pad 1 to its prescribed original position when the pad 1 is released, pressure sensors 9 to 12 detecting that the pad 1 is brought into contact and movement quantity detecting parts 6 and 7, finds movement quantity based on outputs of the parts 6 and 7 when the sensors 9 to 12 detect pressure and also realizes thinness and excellent operability by such a manner that a sensor signal processing part 15 corrects blurring caused when a finger is separated from the pad 1.</p> |
