METHOD OF DOWNLOADING PROGRAM FOR SATELLITE BROADCASTING

PURPOSE: A program downloading method of a satellite broadcasting receiver is provided to reduce downloading time by accessing to a program and downloading it via satellite broadcasting. CONSTITUTION: A program and program packets that include the version data of the program are transmitted by a satellite broadcasting station. A satellite broadcasting receiver judges if the received program is an updated version of the current program, from the program packets. The satellite broadcasting receiver downloads the program included in the program packets in a memory. A CPU(central processing unit) reboots the satellite broadcasting receiver if the program downloading is completed, and otherwise, continues downloading.
