PURPOSE:To provide the fundamental frequency pattern generating device which prevents the important subject of speech synthesis, i.e., the generation of a natural synthesized speech from being spoiled owing to variation in vocalization speed. CONSTITUTION:The fundamental frequency pattern generating device, equipped with a syntax analytic part 103 which finds the degree of connection between adjacent paragraphs in character information inputted after syntax analytic processing and a fundamental frequency pattern generation part 105 which determines a phrase component of an expiration paragraph according to the degree of connection between adjacent paragraphs, is equipped with a connection degree correction part 104 which corrects the degree of connection found by the syntax analytic part 103 according to a specified generation speed level and passes the corrected degree of connection to the fundamental frequency pattern generation part 105. |
